Back by popular demand the year was The Hermitage Grand National Game. Again, the ladies had the choice of three horses; Shelley Jump wearing the orange silks (Sue Woodward), Eiffel Over in the green silks (Archie Stubbs) and Neigh Good in the black and white silks (Samantha Hurst). After the ladies picked their favourite horse it was up to the roll of a dice to see how far each horse moved along the course. Charlotte Pierce rolled the dice and kept horses and ladies in check as we went at a pace around the course!
Fun was had by all, although Eiffel Over really did fall over when he should have missed a turn and the jockey ended up with carpet burns on his elbow not sure how he explained that when he got home!
