The staff at the home have a range of relevant national vocational qualifications and skills to enable them to meet the needs of the residents, for example dementia awareness, diabetes, health & saftety, safe-guarding adults, manual handling and fire safety.
Staff training and development is on-going and updated. Louise and the team deliver a modern care approach to the residents in a respectful and dignified way.
As a charity, The Hermitage relies on its workforce to actively help fundraise. Last year, the staff raised £1,700 by holding various events and raffles. This money was used to provide therapeutic treatments for the ladies, a day trip to the National Arboretum and entertainment. Other events are planned in 2011.
