18th July 2016 saw judges Donna Loasy and Simon Long from ‘Heart of England in bloom’ visit the Hermitage and walk around the gardens. They came to give feedback and recognition for the garden and to help promote awareness and instigate community change for our green areas. Matthew Ford from Countrywide Grounds Maintenance and Samantha Hurst, Projects and Maintenance Manager from the Hermitage showed the judges around and explained to the judges that we had spoken to the ladies about the gardens about what they wanted to see and how best they could enjoy the gardens. The judges said they could see that the Hermitage was a big site and that we wanted to realise the potential of the site. They thanked us for our in-put and could see we had a vision for how we wanted like the gardens to look in years to come.
