7th April 2017 saw the ladies chancing their bets with The Hermitages’ very own Grand National. The ladies had the choice of three horses; Shelley Jump wearing the orange silks (Sue Woodward), Eiffel Over in the green silks (Oli Greatholder) and Neigh Good in the black and white silks (Samantha Hurst). After picking their horse it was up to the roll of a dice to see how far each horse moved along the course. Four games were played and one of the residents got 4 out of 4, think she must have been a horse whisper in her younger years!
Fun was had by all, although there was a steward’s enquiry into cheating allegations between Shell Jump and Eiffel Over. Neigh Good went lame and was put out to pastures green!
