The Hermitage is at present registered for 11 residents, but is currently undergoing major re-development work to become a 30-bedded home from August 2010.

The Hermitage is a Residential Care Home situated in the charming market town of Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, and is exclusively for elderly ladies who have needs ranging from personal care to dementia care.
The home operates as a charitable trust and as such, all its income is re-invested back into the trust. As a charity, the home aims to maintain prices at basic market value whilst providing extra service to the residents. The Hermitage has a long tradition of providing care dating back to the 1930’s, when Mrs. Ellen Mary Bamford (patron) kindly donated her home and estate for the residents of Uttoxeter.
Today, The Hermitage is regulated and inspected by The Care Quality Commission.
Short-term respite care can be offered, subject to availability.
